Wolfgang Wirth began his career as a researcher in medical botany and pharmacist, and trained as a practicing psychologist. He began his career in agronomy in managerial positions, and then continued his training in various disciplines such as Chinese medicine, Ayurveda and finally homeopathy.

In 1981, he obtained a doctorate in Ayurveda and homeopathy in the United States. He is a member of the Research Center for Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in Hong Kong; in 1975, he became a member of the Hospital Order of Malta and since 1966, he has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Korean Leprosy Relief Society.

At present, Wolgang Wirth is working on the restoration of the ancient medical school in Laodicea, which is primarily dedicated to missions in the field of environmental medicine.

The aim of this book is to present three new procedures that have been integrated into traditional medicine. These are aloe-based tissue therapy and agave-based remedies.

Traditional African medicine
Theapplication of aloe on burns has always been known in Africa. Many African peoples take aloe preparations in the form of juice, gel, tea, balm and decoction. Some tribes use the chopped leaves of aloe as snuff

Traditional African medicine applies aloe extract, i.e. pure juice, in case of flu infection, inflammations with fever, menstrual disorders, ophthalmic diseases, muscular atropy, hemorrhoids, constipation, as well as against snake bites. The antitoxic action of aloe is therefore well known in Africa.

Traditional medicine in India
Indian medicine has many applications for aloe. In addition to the leaves, the rhizomes are also used. Ayurveda medicine transforms aloe into gelatin capsules, suppositories for hemorrhoids, syrup for digestive, glandular or splenic disorders, which can also improve eyesight

For rectal disorders, cotton balls are added to aloe juice to make suppositories. Popular medicine uses aloe gel as a local application against migraines. In India and Nepal, aloe indica is called "kumari", meaning "divine".
