Rudolf Hauschka had already thought long and hard about a cosmetic line to complement his pharmaceutical line. But it was only thanks to the Viennese Elisabeth Sigmund, who created her own cosmetics from WALA products, that his ideas took shape. The cosmetologist, who was living in Stockholm at the time, went to Eckwälden and worked with the medical experts to develop formulas for face. Together, they have developed cream without chemical or synthetic emulsifiers, and created fragrances based onessential oils natural.
In 1967, the first skincare products were introduced to the market, and in 1971, Elisabeth Sigmund was already training the first Dr. Hauschka beautician.
