In 2015, Hilton Herbs celebrates its 25th year in business, and founders Hilary and Tony Self are still as passionate as they were in 1990 when they started the company. On their farm, they decided to market their high quality natural products for horses and dogs, which were already being used successfully on their own animals and those of their boarders.
In 1993 with the success of Hilton Herbs, we moved to rural Somerset in the West of England. Since then a manufacturing facility has been built where all herbal products, both dry and liquid, are manufactured under a European accreditation system, ensuring safety and traceability of all ingredients (see Quality Control section). The offices are located in an old Victorian red brick barn.
The company is situated next to the small village of North Perrott and visitors to Hilton Herbs often find it hard to believe that such a successful business is hidden away at the end of a small country road!
