According to the legend, white tea has the effect of prolonging life and in ancient China, it was reserved for the Emperor and high officials. The ritual of plucking was only allowed two days a year with very strict rules.
The Tea Flowers also called "carved tea" are chosen among the best qualities of white or black tea. They come in the form of leaves that are woven around an edible flower. They combine the delicate strength of the tea (white or black) with the sweetness of the flowers. The bud thus shaped bursts during the infusion, leaving the flower to bloom. The flowers in each variety are selected from the most beautiful natural and edible flowers (Rose, Amaranth, Jasmine, Lily, Marigold...). They are harvested twice a year.
