The siwak (also called souak, miswak, arak ...) comes from the Salvadora persica shrub native to the Middle East.
This root fragment is directly taken from the shrub in the deserts of Pakistan, where no fertilizer or chemical products are used . They are then calibrated to keep only those that are perfectly sized.

We offer it in stick form for easy use. Now incorporated in toothpaste or oral care formulas, Siwak cleanses the mouth and helps to take care of the gums. An American study conducted in 2003 by the National Center for Biotechnology Information concluded that the use of siwak is more effective than the use of a toothbrush.

The traditional method consists in chewing the stick until it softens, then rubbing the teeth with its wet fibers. The use of siwak has proven to be very effective in removing plaque. Research has shown that Siwak contains antibacterial compounds, interesting to clean the mouth, prevent cavities and gum problems, as well as mineral salts, useful to strengthen the enamel. The World Health Organization Sanrecommended its use in 1986, then in 2000.

Use:
1. Let the siwak soak for 2 to 5 hours in clear water (check regularly if it has become soft),
2. Remove the bark on approximately 1 centimeter,
3. Chew the uncovered part of the siwak with your molars until the fibers separate,
4. Use like a toothbrush.
Renew the siwak by cutting regularly the already worn fibers and by repeating the steps 2 to 4.
